Talk about when you got lost while driving.

Nowadays, most cars are equipped with satellite navigation, or satnav. Some are built into the car. Others are stand-alone devices. Apps that provide turn-by-turn directions are also popular. Thanks to this technology, drivers rarely get lost. I recently got lost when my GPS didn't work. The system couldn't detect a signal. I became disoriented. I tried to follow the road signs. However, they were in a different language. I couldn't make sense of them. Before long, it became very dark. I had to stop at a store to ask for directions. i reached my destination much later. It was a scary experience. I learned not to take satnav for granted.

 

운전 중 길을 잃어버린 경험에 대해 이야기해 주세요.

요즘은 대부분의 자동차에 내비게이션이 장착되어 있다. 차에 아예 내장되어 있는 경우도 있고, 별도의 장치인 경우도 있다. 실시간 길 안내를 해 주는 모바일 앱도 인기가 있다. 이런 기술 덕분에 운전자가 길을 잃어버리는 경우는 드물다. 나는 최근에 내비게이션이 고장 나서 길을 잃었다. 시스템이 신호를 감지하지 못했다. 방향 감각을 잃었다. 도로 표지판을 따라가려고 했다. 하지만 무슨 말인지 알 수가 없었다. 이해를 할 수 없었다. 머지않아 아주 어두워졌다. 상점에 잠시 가서 길을 물어야 했다. 한참 지나서야 목적지에 도착할 수 있었다. 무서운 경험이었다. 내비게이션을 당연하게 생각해서는 안 된다는 것을 배웠다.
